RED HILL business Xearth Pty Ltd’s innovation in developing a new mobile construction waste recycling system has earned it a $90,000 grant from the State Government’s Waste Initiatives Scheme.

Proprietor Tim Radley created the subsidiary WA On Site recycling to offer a greener alternative to construction waste management, as building waste made up 40 per cent of all landfill in Australia.

Xearth Pty Ltd was founded in 2000 as building site cleaning specialists and has researched clean recycling options to come up with the mobile system.

The system aims to recover, re-treat and re-use the maximum amount of materials, including fibre cement sheeting, concrete, roof tiles, plasterboard, timber, masonry, flashing, paper and more.

It uses small bins and bulky bags placed on site and emptied by bobcat into a purpose-built compactor truck that shreds the materials on-site to an instant reusable product easily disposed of to recycling companies.
